This is our 2024 miracle filly. Since 2015 we searched for this mare and her full sister Princess Badrette in order to obtain a filly to carry on their rare strains. Badrette gave birth to a stillborn filly in 2018 and died the following year. Drama was found in the fall of 2018 and gave birth to a colt in 2020.  We tried year after year, but she was unable to conceive again...or so we thought. She had been with Tammens Kismet fall 2023. He did breed her several heat cycles like he always did but never would anyone have thought it could 'take' with the age of her partner and the condition of her 26 yr old reproduction tract. On 7/24/2024 we laid Kismet to rest and a week later we thought Badrama was failing too as she was losing any normal spark, she was losing her topline and dragging her feet. Her teeth have been bad for a few years so I pulled her out of the field called the vet to assess her. I removed her fly sheet and despite the lack of topline her belly looked a tad round and upon inspection it kicked back. The Vet thought I had lost my mind for suggesting it. But low and behold there was a baby in there that would arrive 4 weeks later when Drama was 27. What a gift to dull the sting of losing Kismet and thinking we were losing Drama too with no daugter to replace her or her sisters lineage.  SO I knew it HAD to be a girl! She is a gift from God and her name reflects that. Eliora is of Hebrew origin, means “God is my light”
