Tammens Kismet
Born 2/22/1996 - 7/24/2024
He was SCID,CA,LFS Clear
Bred By Patrick Swazye and was Tom McNairs last stallion. We obtained Tammens Kismet when he was 20 in 2016 from Tom McNair's Widow. At the time he was being boarded in Texas. We had never seen him in person and did not know if he was still fertile. He made the trek to Maine during October. He had to learn how to grow hair. We obtained some mares for him and he proved to be very potent even settling a mare as old as 23. Kismet had 12 foals for us and stamped all consistently with mares of various pedigree. His last two foals were born spring 2024. His son Kismets Badr will carry on his sireline and had his first foal in 2024 and another for 2025. Tammens Kismet was laid to rest in his pasture 7/24/2024 and then buried beside his mares who left before him. We were honored to be his caretakers the last 8 years of his life.

ARLENE MAGID PEDIGREE RESEARCH
TAMMENS KISMET The aptly named TAMMENS KISMET is the last breeding son of his wonderful sire, Patrick Swayze's TAMMEN. "Kismet" is a Turkish word that means fortune or fate, and TAMMENS KISMET's heritage is made more special because he is linebred to TAMMEN's dam TALGANA, who is also his dam's second dam. The Bedouin believed that the dam line was the most important part of the heritage of an Arabian, and TAMMENS KISMET's pedigree was carefully planned. The remarkable TAMMEN, was a regional winner in halter, English pleasure and country pleasure and a Scottsdale Champion Stallion ATH. 38 of his get are champions. He sired National winners in halter and performance including U.S. Top Ten Stallion AOTH MAGIC MIRROR, Canadian Top Ten Mare AOTH JEST LIKE MAGIC, U.S. Top Ten Mare AOTH LORELEI LADY (also a regional winner producer), and four times Top Ten Half-Arabian Country Pleasure TAMMENS FLARE+. TAMMEN get are beautiful athletes who competed as successfully under saddle as they do in halter. His regional winners include regional champions in hunt pleasure and working cow horse and regional western pleasure winners. TAMMEN was ranked as a 2002 and 2005 Egyptian Event Leading Halter and Performance sire and as a Leading Performance Sire in 2004 and 2006.
